My name is Stephanie and I just graduated from Seminary. I love to travel and recently worked in Guatemala. While I was in Guatemala I worked with an organization that works to empower Guatemalans, especially women. I have always enjoyed mission and am excited to learn about how they do mission, especially as empowerment.
My new adventure is as a US-2 young adult missionary with the United Methodist Church’s General Board of Global Ministries. I have been invited to serve in Los Angeles California with the California-Pacific Annual Conference’s Immigration Task Force and with Echo Park United Methodist Church’s Shalom ministries. I just began working in early September and have already learned so much! I’ve been overwhelmed with the hospitality and support I’ve felt in Southern California from various people across the United Methodist denomination.
I invite you to embark with me on my new adventures and follow my blog. Also please feel free to read about my time and past adventures in Guatemala!
If you’d like to contact me I invite you to email me stephanie.k.missions@gmail.com. If you would like to financially support me and the work I’m doing, please donate through The Advance, my project number is 3021353. All prayers are welcome as well!
A little about who I am:I love to read. Even when life is busy and I feel like all I do is read for class I am much less stressed if I also have a novel to read. It’s a way I wind down. I also love to watch TV shows online, Hulu is wonderful! I also love music. I grew up not being allowed to watch TV so I would turn to books and the radio. I’m horrible with remembering lyrics but I come up with some pretty good ones!
Glad to find your blog! Love you!
